Healthy Active Living Education, Grade 9,Open
This course emphasizes regular participation in a variety of enjoyable physical activities that promote lifelong healthy active living. Students will learn movement skills and principles, ways to improve personal fitness and physical competence, and safety and injury prevention. They will investigate issues related to healthy sexuality and the use and abuse of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs, and will participate in activities designed to develop goal-setting, communication and social skills. All activity courses require the purchase/wearing of a physical education uniform.

PPL2OF and PPL2OM
Healthy Active Living - Female and Male, Grade 10, Open

This Course builds upon skills learned in grade 9, emphasizing regular participation in a variety of enjoyable physical activities that promotes lifelong healthy active living. Student learning will include the application of movement principles to refine skills; participation in a varietey of activities that enhance personal competence, fitness, and health; examination of issues related to healty sexuality, healthy eating, substance use and abuse, and the use of informed decision-making, conflict resolution, and social skills in making personal choices.

PPL3OF and PPL3OM
Healthy Active Living - Female and Male, Grade 11, Open

This Course builds upon skills learned in grade 10, focusing on the development of a healthy lifestyle and participation in a variety of enjoyable physical activites that have the potential to engage students' interests throughout their lives. Students will be encouraged to develop personal competence in a variety of movement skills, and will be given opportunities to practice goal setting, decision making, coping, social, and interpersonal skills. Students will also study the components of healthy relationships, reproductive health, mentla health, and personal safety.

PPL4OF and PPL4OM
Healthy Active Living - Female and Male, Grade 12, Open

This Course focuses on the development of a personalized approach to healthy active living through participation in a variety of sports and recreational activites that have the potential to engage students' interests throughout their lives. Students will decelop and implement personal physical fitness plans. In addition, they will be given opportunities to refine their decision making, conflict resolving, and interpersonal skills with a view to enhancing their mentla health and their relationships with others

PAD3O
Outdoor Activities, Co-ed, Grade 11, Open

Do you enjoy the smell of nature, seeing the water rush by the side of your boat, gathering around a campfire at the end of a day with the sound of crickets chirping? This outdoor activites course allows students to learn and refine skills related to outdoor activites. Some of the activites may include things such as, camping, canoeing, hiking, and wilderness survival. Over the year, you will learn a variety of skills, culminating in a camping trip in May.

Personal & Fitness Activities - Female, Grade 11, Open

This course emphasizes regular participation in a variety of enjoyable fitness activities that promote life-long healthy active living. Student learning will include the application of movement principles to refine their skills, participation in a variety of fitness activities (e.g. Aerobics, boxercise, curling and self defence etc.) that enhance personal competence and health, and examine of issues related to healthy living. Health topics may include healthy sexuality, healthy eating, substance use and abuse, and the use of informed decision-making, conflict resolution, and social skills in making personal choices.

PAF4OM
Personal & Fitness Activities (Weight Training), Male, Grade 12, Open

Do you want to look leaner, get bigger, or improve sport performance? This course focuses on all aspects of personal fitness, with an emphasis on resistance training. The student will learn a variety of weight lifting principals and techniques throughout the year, designing personal programs. Learn the facts about supplements, proper nutrition and diet to maximize your growth and development.

This new course for the women who want to tone their body and get in physical shape. Over the year, students will learn to use a variety of equipment to increase muscular strength and endurance. The student will learn a variety of weight lifting principals, and techniques throughout the year, designing personal programs.
