Etobicoke Collegiate Institute: Physics
To help you, we have included a summary of questions, formulas, examples, and definitions from the grade 10 and grade 11 physics units. However if you do have problems, you should still go in for extra help because these outlines are VERY, VERY brief.

Grade 10

In grade 10 all of the problems you get will need to be solved using of these three formulas, it would be a good idea to get memorize and familiar with them. These 3 equations are the first 3 of 5 basic formulas for motion that you will need in high school physics. You will also need to know how to manipulate the formulas to solve for the missing variable in your situation.

Vector: A quantity that has a direction and a magnitude associated with it. (eg. 25km/hr [North], 9.81m/s [Down])
Scalar: A quantity that has no direction associated with it and has only a magnitude (size or numbers); (eg. mass, time, distance, speed)
