September 11th, 2010Happy new school year, Etobians!
The exec members (Nicole and I, Agnes) are looking forward to another great year of Model UN. So get pumped!
Many people have been asking me, “Who is the new teacher?” for Ms. Mori left for Central Tech last year. The teacher who was kind enough to agree to help us run the club is… Ms. Hooke!!!
We are planning on accepting one more executive member, as Patrick graduated last year. And I’ve been receiving positive requests from many possible candidates!
Remember: We are looking for a responsible, dedicated, diligent, mature and informative person who has experience and an abundant knowledge about the UN, who is willing to give up some personal time to put themselves at work for this amazing club.
Nicole and I are still working on a fair way to choose an appropriate exec member, so please stay put and be patient!

MMUN Applications Due!
December 10th, 2009This is a reminder to all Martingrove MUN applicants that this Friday, December 11th, 2009, will be the due date for all applications.
Please make sure to bring your applications and money ASAP.

SOMA Money and Applications
November 23rd, 2009SOMA applicants,
The SOMA fee*, $11o, is due on Wednesday, Nov. 25th, along with the completed application forms.
Either write a CHEQUE to Etobicoke Collegiate Institute, or bring the exact amount of CASH. Please keep in mind that there will be NO CHANGE available, and make sure you recieve a receipt from us.
*If you or your family are facing financial difficulties, PLEASE bring in what you can afford, and talk to Ms. Mori about financing opportunities.
The deadline has been moved up due to organization issues, so please cooperate to the best of your abilities.

MUN Fundraising
November 19th, 2009MUN will be selling various snacks during Parents Night, on November 26th, 2009. We need volunteers to help the exec members sell, so please attend the meeting on Thursday, Nov 19th for more information.
The MUN exec also wants to work on small fundraisers, such as jelly bean/gummy worm guesses, lotteries, and so on.
So please join in helping us out, and all help will be appreciated.
